American Muslim says its okay to be killed if you leave Islam

Yeah I don’t see whats the problem. In an Islamic state leaving Islam amounts to treason. Treason is punishable by death in most places anyway. Nobody really cares if you believe in Islam or not, you just can’t propagate opposing views.

Needless to say I was shocked when I read that comment, so naturally I replied to this faggot:

Islam may have “invented the first welfare state” but now Islam is in our countries preaching hatred against us from it mosques, it is creating violent no-go areas in our towns and cities, it is slaughtering our film-makers, authors and cartoonists in the streets, it is causing democratically elected representatives to live under 24 hour armed protection or they will be killed and it is forming gangs to groom, drug and rape our children.

And even if Islam did “invent the first welfare state” it would still have subjugated the non-Muslims as “dhimmis” and forced them to pay a protection/extortion tax known as the “Jizya”.

Indian Muslims have more tolerance for others and here’s why

The cultural tolerence among muslims you see in India is simply a result of the influence of Hinduism.

And not economic developement or influence of the west. Also, most muslims in India, whether they agree or not are recent converts from Hinduism and not descendents of Arabs as many like to believe. So, living among the most peace loving religion (Hinduism having never imposed itself, through violence or conversions on others), they are bound to get influenced. That according to me, does not prove much.

Anonymous comment about Islam

I don’t know of any Christian law that recommends the death penalty for people who want to leave the religion…. and it is quite telling that one has to go back hundreds of years to find relevant examples.

Besides, we don’t have public surveys from the 18th century (say).  So, we can only speculate about how many ordinary Christians wanted to put apostates to death.

Also, even if we were to discover that 17th century Christians were hateful people, to me it would prove that Christianity is a  hateful ideology too, not prove that everything is okay with Islam !

I do agree that American muslims are very tolerant. I will take your word that Indian muslims are tolerant too. So ?

Muslims, like all people, will inevitably be influenced by the culture of their home country. To judge Islam, I must look at countries where the vast majority of people are muslims, right ?

If we discover that muslims are most tolerant in those countries where the influence of Islam on the culture is least, that would be a huge indictment of Islam. Don’t you agree ?

I can’t agree with the thesis that India’s development is responsible for the tolerance of Indian muslims. I looked up the list of countries by GDP per capita and India, despite the recent surge, is pretty low on the list.

Were Indian muslims less tolerant in say… 1980 when the country was poorer ? I don’t think so.

The regional thesis is hard to digest as well. Israel is in the middle east too and Israelis, to my knowledge are not into beheading people who leave Judaism (Heck, most Israelis I know are atheists)

Democracy has nothing to do with tolerance.

And given that other data point, it might be a good thing that they are not democratic.

When a majority of people in a country are intolerant, intolerance will be the law of the land.

ISIS is following the direct and clear orders of Islam

ISIS is following the direct and clear orders of Islam and what is taught in Koran. So there should be no doubt in the minds of you and the rest of the world that an ISIS fighter is the exact and true Muslim. Those who believe that there is another version of Islam which is peaceful and nice they are wrong. I know there are nice and peaceful people who are born in Muslim families but if they plan to stay peaceful and nice they have to reject the Evil ideology of Islam and not follow it’s teachings other wise before they know it, they will turn into an Evil terrorist like ISIS.

While I may not fully agree with what this man says. He does get you thinking right?
